I’ve begun to busy myself with cooking Thanksgiving’s delicious meal. I am making:
Garlic & Rosemary Cornish Game Hens
Wild Rice & Butternut Squash Stuffing
Macaroni & Cheese
De-constructed Green Bean Casserole
Cranberry Mousse (with homemade cranberry sauce)
and Double-Layer Chocolate Pumpkin Cheesecake.

Everything but the hens and the macaroni and cheese is vegan, mostly just as a challenge to myself and because I can’t assume people around me want to eat vegan just because I do. While baking the crust for the cheesecake, I think there was too much butter in them and it dripped onto the bottom of the oven and began to burn badly. My apartment got so smoky it was hurting my eyes and I had to open every window and fan the doors a bit. Bleck. A spot that I burnt on my finger has cracked and it hurts a lot and being that it’s my right hand pointer finger, it is one that I use often. Oh well.

I am for sure running the 5k in the morning. I registered for it today and am psyching myself out for it. I am sort of looking forward to it :) I will have a nice sense of accomplishment afterwards. And then I get to eat a lot and sleep. Yay.
