Sometimes I am so sad I am that I don’t play music. I was at Marcus’ apartment while Red Clay River was having practice and at so many shows and even just sitting with Marcus when he plays, I get so bummed that I can’t join in and contribute. I have always had friends and almost exclusively dated musicians but recently the desire has gotten stronger. I know, I probably should just learn to play then, right? If only it were that easy… If I could play anything, I’d play the violin and it just so happens that Marcus has one but finding a teacher is a little bit harder. That’s not an instrument you just pick up and teach yourself. I have a friend that has offered to show me the ropes but besides working full time, she is in three or four bands. Okay, I’ll stop complaining.

I really, really, really want to go to Yosemite. And the Lost Coast. I want to go to California. I want to bring Marcus. I want to go to all the places I miss, the beautiful places that I love. I am proud to be from such a wonderful state.

At this moment, I am making my own seitan. To make wontons. And they will be delicious. If they ever get done… I’m hungry. Marcus (and I help when I’m allowed :) has been cooking a lot lately, any night he has off we usually whip up something. He has been writing about them on Facebook and posting pictures but those of you that aren’t friends with him can’t read them. However, we are hopefully going to be putting together blog for our recipes and delicious creations. I’ll let you know when it gets put together.

I’m reading “Grapes of Wrath” right now and it’s really good. I’m close to being finished and I look forward to reading something new. I like this abundance of reading phase I’m in. I want it to stay for a while.

I was supposed to go to Kansas City this weekend for my friend Kira’s wedding (and see some Minneapolis friends) but it’s not happening and I’m really bummed. I can’t leave work for as long as I’d need to and I just don’t have the money. I don’t really have the money for most things, unfortunately. I NEED to buy my plane ticket to CA as soon as I can. Which might be soon because I just got, but moments ago, a little monetary help. (Thank you.)
