I came home from the grocery store today to an amazing surprise (and heartfelt note), an antique sewing machine I had been envying at my friend’s consignment store! It’s gorgeous! It was made in Elizabeth NJ in 1947. It still has the little oil can, the unused bobbins of thread, the foot pedal, the original leather belt, four different presser feet, instruction booklet, and a carrying case! It has a beautiful silver end plate and the signature Singer gold seal. I am so excited.
