But a bit of progress.

I am reading “Jane Eyre” and am so in love with it that I could scarcely put it down to sew. I made myself do a bit so I almost finished the back for the red/white/black baby quilt. I’m not crazy about the back but I am excited about how I’m going to quilt it so I’m ready to get to that part already. I’ll finish the book tomorrow and then I’ll have some more free time.

I got my Hope Valley fabric in the mail yesterday! I’m pretty excited to cut into it as soon as the quilt along starts.

I made this quilt for a dear friend and his wife recently. I am so in love with it but I had to wait for it to reach them before I could post about it.

This was one of three mini house wall hangings I made, this one being the largest (by four times). It took me a while to figure out how I wanted to quilt it but I’m so happy with the results. I don’t know what it’d be called, maybe a maze pattern, but I added some houses in the spaces which make me happy.

I have a feeling I’ll be making more quilts like this in the future. I hope Chris and Alicja enjoy it for a long time.

I am having a hard time with a particular project. It is meant for a dear friend and I’m already past the point I would have liked for it to be finished. I had a certain layout planned so I cut almost all the fabric up but after making 15 blocks or so and putting them up on the wall, I didn’t like them. So I tried something else and I’m not crazy about it either. It would probably turn out lovely but I’m hesitant to keep working on a quilt I’m not in love with, and start so many other projects in the meantime, especially when it’s one I feel like I need to make :-/
