Spring to Finish check-in.

It should have been yesterday but I’m close enough :) I don’t have nearly as much progress to report as I’d like. My original list was not a very good one; I threw it together really quickly and put things on it that shouldn’t have been there and forgot a couple non-quilting projects. Oh well.

I have finished one baby quilt
(sorry for the indoor pictures, the outdoor ones I took didn’t work out)and an apron.
(It’s reversible but I didn’t get a good photo of the other side. It’s my less favorite side anyway.)I began quilting the red, white, and black monster but my machine was giving me a lot of troubles so I had to take it in to get serviced today. Now I’ll be a week without my quilting machine!I completed the top of the large hexagon quilt and am awaiting the backing fabric in the mail since they messed up my first order. I was hoping to have it ready to take to CA with me but I doubt that will be happening.
I am at a standstill in deciding what fabrics to use for the Single Girl and Hills ‘n’ Hollers quilts.
I have made little progress on my little hexagons. I bought a container for them and it makes me feel like I have a long way to go!I have not yet started either commission. I’m kind of starting to freak out about it! Not about the Spring to Finish deadline in particular so much as finishing the two commissions as soon as possible.

Our first week as residents of different states went pretty well, actually. I have been sewing quite a bit and eagerly read “The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle” by Haruki Murikami which was one of the best books I’ve ever read. Marcus is really enjoying living down there and as of now, moving there is a likely possibility. I get to go down and visit this weekend and I’m pretty excited about it.
