Keepin’ on.

Today, I almost feel accomplished.

I finished quilting an American Jane double hourglass baby quilt. I still have some hand quilting and the binding to do.
I quilted my siggy block quilt very simply and have sewn on half of the binding.

It’s hard for me when there are so many unfinished things laying all around the room, stacked on tray tables and covering the ironing board and on top of boxes on the floor. Sounds like quite a disaster, I know! It feels like it too, and that makes a lot of progress and completions still seem like not enough. The dang light bulbs on my machines keep going out, too. I had the same light bulb in my Pfaff for 8 years and now I’m on the 5th one in two years. Did they really make that much higher quality light bulbs in 2000? The one in my Singer went out too so I’m switching the same bulb between them. One day I’ll be more together.

  1. If it makes you feel any better, today I cut $70 worth of fabric completely wrong. 24 sets of 3 2.5" strips that I had sewn together and pressed. Spent hours cutting them all wrong. So stupid. So pissed.

  2. Ugh, that is definitely disheartening! I'm sure you can turn it into something awesome still. There's no mistakes in art, right? Something like that…
