Pillow swap: the giving.

After two days of sketching,
sewing,picking, pinning, and more sewing,
I finished one of my most favorite little projects last night.
The Triangle Modern Quilt Guild is doing a pillow swap at our next meeting.
The person I got partnered with basically said do anything and while that seemed like too much freedom at first, I was inspired by this and this and came up with this pillow.
It took hours and hours, much longer than it should have, but now it’s done and I’m pretty in love with it! I did an invisible zipper but the cover is pretty tight on the pillow form so it actually looks like it’s separating already! :( I don’t particularly want to pick out and redo the zipper but I can’t give my partner a broken pillow! I have a few more days to decide what to do.

I can’t wait to see what I get at the swap!

I guess I need to get started on the Kona solids challenge now.

  1. THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!!!! Such a great job!!!

How do you join swaps? I have always wanted to do one but I'm not that cool I guess.

  2. Thanks, Linds! This swap was something set up within our guild so I didn't have to look far, though I have always wanted to join a larger swap. I'm not really sure how to go about it but I'm a member of a Modern Swapping group on Flickr that has some info. (I'd say you're cooler than me! It's only a matter of time before you get invited to one.)
