And, another one.

I was kind of looking forward to a Hexagons for Humpday post but then I realized I hadn’t actually done any work on it this week. Oh well.

As if I needed to add to my Finish it Up list, I started and finished a quilt top! I bought a fat quarter bundle of Far Far Away (this first collection) two years ago (next week, in fact) and only recently decided that I needed to make a plus sign quilt with it.

So I cut, arranged, sewed, picked, sewed again, pressed, and rushed outside to take pictures before a storm came.
The plus signs are made with 4″x4″ squares and the top finished at 44″ x 64″

I have no idea what I’m doing for the back. I have something on my design wall but I don’t think I like it. I looked into getting some yardage but it’s $17/yard (was it always or is it just in high demand?) and that’s way too much for a backing. I kind of just want to do a solid color, which feels so boring (and requires me to buy more fabric). But, since this one will probably be for sale, I s’ppose I don’t much mind it being boring or costing me money. It’s still pretty adorable!
