Each month my friend Cait and I make a project from Last Minute Patchwork + Quilted Gifts. You can see past projects here.
I really struggled with this quilt, part of why I finished it a week late.
Picking out the fabrics was the most fun for me. The cutting felt tedious, the sewing wonky, and the finished top does not lay flat. And it got dirty while taking pictures.
But from far away, I love it.
Be sure to check out Caitlin’s lovely mini!
Looks amazing! (Mine wouldn’t lay flat either…)
It looks great! Love the fabric choices! I hated the QAL block I made last week. Curves suck!
This is really something. Beautiful colours!
Thanks Natalye! I’m looking forward to hanging it high on the walls of my studio space.
You only love it from far away?? I’m sure it is gorgeousin person too – I really like it!
Now… how will you quilt it?
I’m not sure how to quilt it! I will probably do it on a long arm machine and do maybe clouds or swirls or something. Or maybe a spiral! I’ll post about it again when I do that.
